Learning Objectives

In this program, entrepreneurs will learn how to develop and create a business idea that will iterate and evolve. Each module takes the foundations learned in innovation & business ideation and puts a real-life operations, sales & marketing, financial management and communications lens on the business idea. Upon completion of the GSA program, the successful entrepreneur will have reliably demonstrated the ability to:

  • Validate the problem you will solve & discover your customer : This module will focus on identifying and validating the problem you are going to solve and discovering your customer. You will do this by exploring your innovation source and the Customer Development Model.

  • Understand & narrow your product’s market: The most important thing for you to focus on in this module is to get a solid idea of your market. You’ll use a number of techniques to confirm the Market Type, the Value Chain, and the Segmentation approach that you’ll take, as well as attain a solid understanding of the Technology Adoption Life Cycle to determine where your customers sit along this continuum.

  • Build your Business Model & Lean Canvas: This module will have you synthesize your thoughts to short statements that can be validated with actual customers and investors. You won’t have all the answers yet, but you’ll have enough to gauge your product-market fit with your target customers, and build an initially researched Lean Canvas business model.

  • Confirm and Size your Opportunity: This module focuses on confirming and sizing your opportunity with exploration and then confirmation of market size, sales and prospects, competitive Landscape, clarity on ideal customer, and creating a product roadmap and a validated MVP.

  • Pitch your idea & create vision: This module focuses on communicating your business model and translating that into action items that will ensure you sustain the momentum of your efforts.
